Strange Windy Day With No Birds

I put out peanuts and seed three hours ago and have had zero visitors. This is very unusual as I would expect at least the squirrels to come by and take the peanuts after this much time.

Most likely the lack of bird activity today  is due to the high winds creating more moving stimuli that can be confused with other animals.

Yesterday I recorded a number of birds during the Google On The Air hangout.  We had a combination of Blue Jays, Robins and Grackles.

You will see the initial few Cedar Waxwings waiting on the Starlings to clear out. Within 5 minutes the Cedar Waxwings have taken it over. Lots of beautiful birds and some nice sounds of nature and occasional wind noise
